“Let me congratulate you for the
high standard of XCEL magazine, which I believe, is one
of the best. It must belong to the first five category
of Nigerian magazine, and I commend you very much. I
pray that you will remain this quality, content and
direction, which you have started with. You have shown
that you are capable of sustaining that effort, because
a lot of other magazine debut with such impact, quality
and fitness, and most times, don't last long in the
market. I am sure you have learnt from the mistake those
magazines have gone through and will correct them, so
that you will remain a magazine of excellence, which you
already are, for as long as you continue to publish. I
like to congratulate you for that.
Let me again congratulate you for
some content which I find very unique to your magazine,
which is the avoidance of sensationalism and cheap
character blowup and assassination that I have seen some
of your colleagues engage in for the purpose of
marketing their magazine. I think this is something that
is quite unnecessary.
I also like to commend the mix of
your magazine. A mixture of good hard stories,
personality profile, feature articles and some
light-hearted stories as well. I think that is a good
combination. One shouldn't take a magazine and frown all
through. One should be able to smile at the middle or
smile at some pages, and I think that is what one gets
from reading XCEL magazine. So, let me commend you for
these efforts and pray you to sustain them.”

Former Senate Deputy Majority Leader
